Huge Crunch 2004 Update – Posted 07.04.04 by Andrew Maddock
There was big news released today by FWA officials regarding matches for Crunch 2004 on Sunday April 11 th at the Broxbourne Civic Hall.

The All – England title match between Hade Vanson and the Zebra Kid has been the subject of much debate and speculation since New Frontiers. A standard match was not enough to get a conclusion between these two and decide who the real All – England Champion is.

After back and forth negotiations it was finally announced today that the FWA will sanction its first ladder match since British Uprising 1. Due to the very physical nature of the previous matches between these two in the past, the FWA are taking added measures to make sure that the participants are as not seriously injured in the process of finding a true All – England champion. With the hatred between the two men involved this may leave the FWA officials with their hands extremely full.

Another match with an added stipulation has been signed for Crunch in the last 24 hours. The “Show Stealer “ Alex Shane will take on Jack Xavier in a last man standing match. This a stipulation that has not been used since Alex Shane Vs Guy Thunder in the very same building back in October 2001. Shane would go on to lose that contest in one of his bloodiest bouts to date.

Many close to Xavier have commented on his new found focus since his match with Shane at New Frontiers. With this in mind Shane may regret the day he vowed to bring the Fire back out of Jack Xavier. Shane has also made FWA officials aware of a possible interference by Steve Corino, who has told those close to him the he “may be in England again this weekend”.

FWA Academy standout Eamon Shrahan will make his FWA main show debut against former Academy training partner James Tighe. Tighe, who recently lost his FWA heavyweight title number 1 contenders spot to Mark “Five Star” Belton, is keen to get back on the winning track after an unbelievable 2003. Shrahan has impressed many in the FWA management team as of late and is truly one to watch over 2004.This should be a superb encounter by two of the FWA’s top home grown talents.

Simmons will also go one on one with Stevie Knight. The two met in the tag team contenders match at New Frontiers but Knight has since blamed the loss on tag team partner George Costano’s in ability to speak English. Simmons has agreed to, at Knights request, put his half of the tag team title shot up for grabs in this match. The Duke of Danger is still recovering from a backstage attack at New Frontiers and will be rehabbing his previously broken arm so is unable to attend the event. Simmons has a great track record in single’s matches at Broxbourne with wins over both Mark Sloan and FWA current tag team champion Raj Gosh.

The spokesperson for the FWA tag team champions, Greg Lambert sent a memo to FWA management asking for Microphone time at Crunch. He claims to be able to reveal the newest and final member of The Family to the FWA fans and will do so on April 11 th . With this being of interest to the FWA and its fans the time requested has been given to him. Many internally in the FWA have no idea who it will be but it already has many in the company worried.
